There are a ton of these in the park near my house. I’m not sure what they’re called but they have a very psychedelic look to them.
It was fun to see the detail of the plant a little better after getting the photo home and blowing it up – gotta love macro photography.
The design of the plant is amazing and reminds me of how people design architecture and products after natural items.
Does anyone know what type of plant this is?
Ew... never seen that before... What's that actually? I checked google but couldn't find any matching images.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what it is, still trying to figure it out.
ReplyDeleteWow, this look so pictorially!... I too saw this plant hundred of times, yet I don't know what it is in name. Nevertheless, one is clear for sure. THIS looks more attractively in your photo than in what was passed by me in ignorance. Beauty blossomed out with the mystery now. Your curiosity revived the picture. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteIt would be fine to see you at my blog http://arthiker.wordpress.com/ I hope you will have a good time with my pictures here and your comments will revive my blog too.
Thanks Tomas,
ReplyDeleteMacro photography really does make seemingly ordinary things interesting.
Great texture and pattern -- whatever flower seed head it is.
ReplyDeleteThanks Marvin,
ReplyDeleteI still can't figure out what it is, I've been looking around at plant identifier forums, but still can't figure it out.
No idea what plant, but the effect is great.
ReplyDeletethanks Martin
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what it is either but I like the design.
ReplyDeleteThe design is very cool, thanks for stopping in Missy.
ReplyDeletethere are many unknown wonderful things in this world. it may look creepy to some but it looks amazing to me. diversities can really be overwhelming at times.
ReplyDeleteVery true bing,
ReplyDeleteI think it looks amazing too, the pattern is crazy.
I have no idea what plant this is, but I like it. Would be nice if architects designed a building to look similar :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Michael,
ReplyDeleteOrganic architecture has always really interested me and some of the best(IMO) architects have used this style i.e. Frank Lloyd Wright and Antoni Gaudi.
Ovation TV had a really interesting segment on early photography. Someone had done plant life close ups, but for the life of me I can't find the photographer. Maybe it was this dude... Karl Blossfeldt (1865-1932)
ReplyDeleteplant macros are some of my favorites
ReplyDeleteStunning photograph and I love the lighting
