This sculpture, "X with Columns" by Sol LeWitt, is one of my favorite in the Walker Art Center Sculpture Garden. The simplicity of the materials give it a familiar look but at the same time the shape as a whole give me a different feeling of freedom, my mind tends to wonder as I walk around this work of art.
It seems to serve multiple purposes in that you can also frame other pieces of art and nature within the garden for photography.
