Robinson Park Ice Climbing
A few weeks ago I went to an ice climbing seminar for the Minneapolis area. They had a giveaway for a one day lesson in the Sandstone, MN ice quarry/park and I won.
I had done a little ice climbing previously, but this was a great learning opportunity. The ice was amazing, with blue, green and red hues, large chandeliers and everything!
I hope to get out climbing more this winter, I also found out that the U of M rents ice gear.

ReplyDeleteGood to know that you like ice climbing. I am hoping to get leave in march for a 1 month course in mountaineering.
I have never heard about these 1 day sessions.
Thanks Zanil, I think I need to take some more time and try a little HDR next time.
ReplyDeleteThe 1 day session is a little easier for just learning technical ice climbing. We drove right up to the base of the crag, hahah.
